With basically all of the people who'd been taken at least ... confirmed as being back, he'd gone to where it seemed like he had the chance of doing the most good - the first floor hallway, outside the library; he had the Sun Ring which would limit the damage Knuckle could do if whatever was meddling with him overtook him again, but...
Well, there was enough guilt he was having to drag his friend out of as it was, without an innocent or unwitting bystander getting caught in it.
"Giotto." Lock paused, staring at the older man for a long, silent moment, eyes tracking again to the bag he carried automatically.
He glanced at the door, frowning faintly. "Did you find your friends?"
There was no trace of guilt on his face, it wasn't his fault they had been taken, and there wasn't anything he could have done to stop it anyway. There was no point in feeling bad for something that wasn't his fault.
