Stepping back as soon as she heard someone speaking to her, she kept her blue eyes on the individual. He seemed too calm to not be the one that brought her here. "Who am I? Who in the hell are you?"
Stepping beside her, Hallie growled lowly at the strange man, warning him against coming much closer.
His expression did little to comfort her or prove that he was right. A captive would be more worried than this man was. "If you were a captive, you wouldn't be this calm! So what the hell do you want with me?!"
He was startled by the sound of a dog- a real dog, considering the daylight, not one of the strange hounds that haunted the night. The sound of the woman calling out was much more familiar and he made certain that his face was composed and friendly before he turned the corner
( ... )
Stepping back as someone came around the corner, Vivien pressed herself back against the door. He seemed friendly enough, and had she been in her own home, she would have greeted him and possibly offered him tea. But this...it was to much. She was in a strange place with no recollection on how she got there.
Hallie wasn't having such reservations though. As soon as Shisui offered his hand, she moved forward, her tail wagging happily. As far as strangers went, this one was by far one of the nicer ones. Sniffing at the offered hand, she soon started licking him, not at all bothered by the fact that they weren't where they were supposed to be.
Torn between stepping forward to get her dear dog and staying as far from the man as she could, Vivien stayed where she was. Did he seriously just ask that question? "I was at home in bed, what do you think?!" It wasn't like she wore this to the supermarket. "Where the hell are we and who the fuck brought me here?!"
"Good girl." He smiled at the dog, scratching her ear in reward for her friendliness. She didn't seem much brighter than the average house pet, and that was a bit of a relief. The last thing he wanted to deal with was a two way pair bond with one of the people invovled freaking out and pregnant.
"Ma'am, I'm sorry, I've met people from several different world's in my time here, it's never certain and it's best to ask. I don't know who brought you here, or where we are, just that for the moment this house is safe for us and it's best to stay calm."
...What? His words didn't make any sense. How could there be people from different worlds in one place, this wasn't a sci-fi novel or a television show, this was her life. "I will NOT be calm! You're not making any sense!"
How could he expect her to be calm at a time like this?! She was scared and didn't know what was happening. Suddenly feeling lightheaded, Vivien reached a hand to the doorknob to steady herself.
