"Because leaving isn't an option."

He's good at walking silently (years of cultivating the art of being subtly and not-so-subtly creepy, no doubt), and it's night again; easy to move around without being seen, avoiding what isn't safe.

He is not good at close combat. Better to avoid monsters and trouble, if he can; he's content to find out the house's secrets when it's safer to explore.

But he always circles around the house, exploring the new rooms, keeping them in his mind. He's come to the entrance hall, and there's always someone interesting there, if not something.

Such as, for example, a girl. A very nervous girl, if her shaking hands and voice are anything to judge.

In the Parlor the hollow glanced up from his spot on the floor by the fireplace. For a moment he thought that woman, Orihime or whatever her name was, had returned since the words sounded like something she'd say. Instead of leaving his warm place by the fireplace and going towards the place he had somehow appeared earlier he waited to see who would come through the door. He hadn't sensed any significant spiritual energy coming from the entry room so he stayed put.

Tim didn't have much time, before he could organise his team and start doing proper patrols, but before that happened, he intended to gather some supplies-- mostly food and water, to give to anyone who needed it, and a few small medical supplies that could be found in the bathroom. And he needed a weapon.

He was in the parlour for the latter item when he heard a faint voice from the entry way. He glanced up at the voice, stopping his investigation of chairs, and turned to head to the entry way, makeshift bag over his shoulder.

"Did you just get here?" Tim asked, voice polite and calm.
