Short of putting a finger to the back of the throat, humans rarely vomit "at will" although the reflex can be conditioned.
Right now, I'm grateful to be dealing only with a cat, and only one cat!

"Unlocked the mystery" might be a bit strong. You know: giving us too much credit.
I did sort of unload some information in this entry which I hoped would explain what happens and that we believe we've figured out cause and effect, without getting into his entire life story with us (he's a rescue cat.)
But it doesn't rule out any and all potential medical issues: we can still find that this cat has a malignancy; we do know that his kidney disease has progressed slightly since the last time a blood screen or screens were done. (Which reminds me: the clinic says that was in May, but much more recently, I want to say in July or August, it was done again at the same time this cat got his rabies vaccination; we paid for it, never heard back about the results, so perhaps it was recorded as having been done...h'mm....) And we're waiting to hear back on the rest of the results, particularly the test for the pancreas, since he has a history of pancreatitis and he is a diabetic kitty.
But it's reassuring to some degree to eliminate at least one ( ... )
