New Year's WK Drabbles

Probably my all time favourite LJ community, wk_100, has been sadly very quiet in the recent times. I've been re-visiting my old-time favourites (that's slow work, because there are so many - I should do a 100 favourite drabbles rec list :p).

But! It's holiday time and the nice people there (daegaer in specific :p) are holding the drabble exchange again: here

Woohoo! I love the WK drabble exchange. Even if I write nothing else WK-related all year, I still look forward to drabbling. :D :D

It's a good tradition! If the went away, then the wk_100 community would really die. I still remember times when you could read several drabbles a day there and they were all so good! It went for a relatively long time, too. Then it was a couple a week and in the end it all stopped... Sad. I guess that happens, but I do miss 'the old days'. Well, we'll surely have some fun again in the exchange! In the mean time, there are so much 'golden oldies' to read.

Sorry I've been so lax! Difficulties in thinking up challenges, health and family health have been sapping my brain for such a long time (not an excuse, I know, just an explanation).

No worries! It's been a difficult year, so don't stress over the community... We understand! ♥ (And as for challenges, what about recycling some past ones? Even the people who've been with the community for years could probably think up new takes on them at this point. :D)

Please don't apologise! That was not meant as an accusation of anyone (and really, if it was, I'm just as guilty as anyone). You are one of the people that made that place such a wonderful community. It's just the way it happens . I think almost all communities slow down after a while, especially for such an old fandom. People just move on and there's less 'new interested'. I was just feeling nostalgic, I suppose (although it certainly will be good to see the place get alive again).

I'm sorry to hear of the difficulties you're having; I read your posts and I admire how you keep going despite all. Your energy is a wonderful thing! You've already given more to the fandom than almost anyone (I think even your Kids drabble series made more words than an average writer writes :p).

I hope you do get better, for yourself, and that your troubles 'demystify' in a way that makes them go away.

Oh, you got it already! That was fast! I think I just sent it last week. But then, the post with Germany is usually very speedy. I'm glad you liked it :D. I like sending cards, so it works out :p.
