the last week of my year was truly fucked up.  but you know what?  christmas was family-rific as ever; and new year's was a typical-as-ever party, but i was sober*, as i tend to be these days, and that, my friends, made it truly glorious.

i almost left a METALLICA DVD under your windshield--- it is a DVD of all of their VIDEOS ever---- so instead I spent the 11 dollars buying it with my Coffee shop+record store discount--- but then the "Fuck, thats a long drive..." kicked in... and also the "Fuck I don't know where she works/lives" .... I mean I don't remember how to get there." kicked in.... and then the "Fuck- I want to watch these before I give her this shit...."- kicked in... but I still haven't watched them or placed them or acknowledged them aside from now.... so the DVD sits in my trunk.... and the videos are left unwatched as well as the sentiment...
