Yeah, ponytail!Kurda is such a surprising character design!! XD;; I haven't kept up on the manga besides its tankoubons too so I haven't seen Kurda yet but I've definitely seen a fanart of manga!Kurda and that's what informed me about the surprise. DAMN YOU ARAI-SENSEI XD;;

Minaminoto is my favorite of the designs so far. I like the hat. :)

I've read some of Zetsubou-sensei's manga and some of the comics skirted the edge of xenophobia in my opinion, so I stopped reading it. But the anime shots are really pretty!

I think writing on the blackboard is a trademark of that studio now; they did it for the second Negima series, too. It makes it more difficult to catch everything on the first viewing because I can't read handwritten Japanese that fast.
