Slaves and commenting.

I was reading a slaves LJ and it once again reminded me of why D/s slavery and me don't get along.

Her theory was that when slaves post about finding something difficult they get too much commiseration and not enough of something I will call "slave advice". Slave advice would basically consist of Yes that sucks but you are a slave so accept it.

Her theory was that when slaves post about finding something difficult they get too much commiseration ...um, I don't know about her, but the reason I post about stuff that I'm finding difficult is because I want commiseration. My own insecurities and so on are enough to tell me that I'm "being bad" that I don't need someone else to tell me "that's life as what you want to be, so buck up." In fact, getting "slave advice" is likely only going to piss me off.

I agree with you, that not having actually been in a physical relationship is no reason not to give advice. You're a smart cookie, and you've got common sense. What you have to say is perfectly valid, in my opinion. Then again, common sense goes far with me.

If I got stuck cleaning dog crap he tread into the carpet (by being careless) for instance my respect for him would drop and with it my sex drive. I still want a guy who is grown up, capable and responsible. I don't fetishise a guy who sits on his ass and has to ask me for everything he needs, even if he does spank me. YES

Hehe, I think I said I see you as a slave by my definition of a slave. Which is about your personal relationship with your Master, not about what other slave types think a slave should be
