I need to vent because I'm tired of the apathetic society we now live in. I'm sure there are people out there who can leave the suburban bubble they live in for periods of time and get to know - and help - their neighbours, but I have not encountered this in years and fear these people are a dying breed. I can give you more than half a dozen

all of that really sucks. kids are getting SO MUCH MORE VIOLENT these days. and gutsy. it amazes me.... and where are the damn parents anyway? i see all these hoodlum kids and if my children EVER behaved like that i'd beat (speaking of violence, LOL.) them into next year. it's disgusting.

No, I'm not deterred, trust me : ) Thing is, it's not only the kids...it's my neighbours and other associates that I've witnessed turn a blind eye to everything. They don't want to confront these kids because they are scared of retaliation...but then what happens? They just continue to get away with it until their crimes turn out worse. People need to start speaking up and not being complacent. We are all in this together as a society...and that's why I think it's going downhill, imo.

As for me...I've already started looking for property outside of the city (acreage, secluded...I'm turning into a hermit). I used to joke about wanting to live in a cave...thing is, it's not far from the truth anymore. ; )
