In the wake of the hysteria two weeks ago, I received an email from one of my clients that all outside contractors were on hold until further notice. If memory serves, you're in the US. If so, it is looking like we'll get some sort of temporary universal basic income, perhaps $1000/month. It's not a huge amount, but it is something... and in this crisis, every little bit helps, yeah?

since this was posted there have been a bill that was passed to offer a stimulus
to many depending on your household income. there is also a bill a friend sent me
regarding those who are self-employed only. not a loan, something similar to a stimulus.

It's all still in flux at the moment. Hopefully we'll get something substantive that's not just a huge handout to corporations, and that actually helps people.
