We are all an enigma

4. The Wolf Gift by Anne RiceI was very surprised to see that Anne Rice had returned to fiction after her religious books of recent years, so I was curious and a bit apprehensive when I started to read this. I wish now that I had gotten the book at the library rather than spending money on it. Not only did she take a legend of our nightmares and ( Read more... )

Ack, and I seem to recall talk that she had Matt Bomer in mind for one of the (the main?) characters when she wrote it and wanted him if it got picked up for a movie.

Ah well, not really much of a fan of hers anyway, but I do like to see Bomer ;) lol.

Did you know that Matt Bomer was (will be?) on an episode of "Glee"? I guess he plays the brother of some character and they have what looks like a singing duel. I was only half listening to the story and happened to glance up to see him. I was yelling at the reporter to stop talking over the clip so I could hear him sing. :-) Neil singing? That's hot.

I'd watch the movie if he was in it, but I'd be very surprised if it was made into a movie. It would have to be so reworked to make it make sense that I doubt it would resemble the book.

I was aware, yes. I've seen the full song, the White Collar peeps posted a link to it on twitter, and it's...odd. It's "Somebody that I used to know", which is a break up song for lovers, and yet they have brother's singing it together (Matt is playing the brother of one of the canon gay character's who is a local celeb because he was in an advert). The incesty kinda feel to it hits the squick button for me, but I don't think that the Glee people intended that, they never really seem to take much notice of the lyrics (popular song with a title that roughly fits what they want for the storyline ( ... )

I'll live my fantasy. Thanks for the warning. :-)

How're things? I've been away from blogs FOREVER. Between adjusting to these antibiotics and a new bed and trying to write on the diss and writing fellowship/post-doc apps . . . . Luta is tired. *hugs and scritches*
