Neil Gaiman knows who you are! And in a not embarrassing way!

At a reading, he signed my copy of Anansi Boys, and my giant Harlan Ellsion anthology (he wrote, and I quote, "I didn't write this"). I'm not a fanboy type, and even I made a fool of myself in his presence. He's that awesome.

When my best friend and I went to our local Ananzi Boys signing, we were at the very end of a very long line, plus he'd been at the Washington Book Festival the day before. By the time we got up there, after hours of rehearsing the amazingly witty things I was going to say, all I could do was stare at his hand and think "You poor, poor man."
