I had forgotten about this smoking in restaurants/diners/bars business. Now my clothes smell of smoke, and I think maybe only two people were smoking at Minella's. Ick ( Read more... )

i'm so glad nj finally went smoke-free. i can't stand coming home smelling like an ashtray!

corollas are wonderful. But how about a prius with a sweet tax rebate? (although... PA/GA may not have them, but check just in case)

tax rebate for a prius has been slashed in half by the fed due to their overwhelming popularity.

also...at an extra ~8K, i don't know if that's quite the right "entry level" car. especially in atlanta. but i <3 the prius. after grad school maybe.

oh, didn't know that. Makes sense. To be honest with you, Corolla's actual mileage is probably not *that* much worse than Prius'. I am doing www.zipcar.com and I LOVE it, but unfortunately they are not in Atlanta yet!

MA's been smokeless for years now. You get so (wonderfully) used to it. I was at a restaurant in NH (Live Free or Die) last week. Not only were they smoking cigarettes, but cigars.

Erf...ick. Yeah, we went to this one bar in LA that's owner operated, so it doesn't fall under the smoke-free law (apparently the law was passed to protect workers but not patrons?). we wandered the streets for an hour after that to try and ditch the smell.
