I need more excuses to wear my vintage crinolines after all, don't I? I was lying in bed this morning, because for some reason I woke up at 6am, trying to convince myself there was absolutely no reason whatsoever that I should be awake and that I needed to go back to sleep, but my brain wouldn't cooperate, and instead it went off on costuming

Several different emotions are jostling for space in my head right now.

1. Oooooh, pretty!
2. I envy with the utmost bitterness your ability to finish that in a day.
3. I'm inspired. I have gran plans for Halloween.

It helps that I have made several outfits in the same look now. This is the same basic jacket pattern I've made two other times now, only 5 pattern pieces and this time around I didn't line it except for the sleeves (to hold the netting for the *poof* in), and I jazzed up my normal very basic 6-panel full circle skirt a bit by making the front two panels all curvy and hemming and pinning them back instead of sewing them together in the front, so there were no weird pattern kinks to figure out and no time wasted picking out seams because I screwed something up.
