I promise some day I'll have an actual, meaty entry, but that day is not today.  No, today, I just have to say, GILES.  I have been discovering/rediscovering so many beloved characters lately that I can hardly stand all the warm fuzzies, but GILES, you guys.  It's always such a delightful surprise remembering how completely and utterly awesome he ( Read more... )

I LOL every time. And I still get that "HOLY CRAP!" feeling at the end of "Halloween," even though it obviously hasn't been a surprise in ages.

(I should have gone to bed long ago, but I will once again have tea and thoughts of Giles to get me through the first half of tomorrow.)

Considering what I've got to get me through the first half of today, at this obsessional stage in my life, is Chuck Palahniuk and Batman* -- I envy you.

I miss Giles.

Maybe I shall watch "On Stranger Tides" this weekend. Lord knows there are myriad reasons why I shouldn't do anything to upset my Batman!Buzz at the moment, but I could use a little Cap'n Jack to help even things out, I think. Hmm ...

* The latter is, of course, a good deal more heartwarming and strugglingly optimistic than many people are aware of -- but he's still no cuddly, bespectacled librarian.

...which is ultimately why darling Wally is my favourite JL regular when Bats is clearly the superior character in virtually all objective aspects (not that Wally's a librarian...) But, yeah, Giles does good things for the soul, and "Fear, Itself" Giles was particularly helpful to me at this point in my life, for reasons I shall explain further in coming weeks. I'm pretty sure it's time for me to watch "A New Man," like, right this instant.

It doesn't look like I'll have a chance to watch OST until next weekend, but I am very definitely looking forward to it. Good luck with your entertainment, in the meantime!

... so apparently I just left an anonymous comment, or something? Even though I was signed in? Livejournal & Bob,* I hate you both.

Lemme know if my to-be-screened comment did not actually go through ...

* Bob being my ancient computer.
