Despite some requisite nonsense, "Court Martial" was quite a good Trek. I love the fact that they had a multi-ethnic court without trumpeting their own praises too loudly for doing so. Yeah, Rosenbaum has a pretty distinctive voice. Not sure what they were doing there!

And do not lie. You know that Becky/The Captain is eclipsed as a ship only by Barney/Character development. I still can't believe I wrote a crack fic re: the former. :P And hey Ellen Pierce! I'm still convinced that the Mother is the girl from the Matchmaker agency Ted was supposed to meet but didn't because he was a stupid head.

And... okay. Those scans look really cool. I may really need to check this book out.

OMG ROBIN! I was just re-watching the 2008 Persuasion and who plays Sir Walter but Anthony Head!??!? I AM KIDDING YOU NOT. I did a fair amount of flailing over that and then thought you should know.

I am thinking I'll bring the book along and let you borrow it when I'm up next month*, because I seriously need it to be out of my room. It makes me think things, Magpie. Weird things.

ASKAFALGAMANWAAY ASH is Sir Walter? I must find this movie! I loved Northanger Abbey so much, you'd really think I would have gotten on the whole watching of the others thing by now...

AWESOME!! I am so psyched for you to come, you don't even know. I put in for my time off and am SO HAPPEH!!

DUDE!!! Which ones haven't you seen? Because

+ S&S is awesome in that it's a miniseries and you get more of EVERYTHING even though the actors playing Marianne and Edward are totally channeling Kate Winslet and Hugh Grant, respectively (but DAVID MORRISSEY as Col. Brandon! ♥)

+ Mansfield Park has Billie Piper. 'Nuff said.

+ And Emma is just gorgeous and everything you'd ever want in an adaptation of Emma, it's just perfect, PLUS you have IMO the best Emma, Michael Gambon as Mr. Woodhouse AND you have two former Edmunds (from the 1999 and 2008 MPs) playing Mr. Knightley and Mr. Elton, and it is DELIGHTFUL (not to mention that I'm just kind of in love with Johnny Lee Miller).

... I may have said this before, but oh well. SEE ALL THE THINGS YOU HAVEN'T SEEN.

I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY OF THE OTHERS. I FAIL AT SEEING THINGS.
(Also, I have not seen _any_ version of Emma _ever_, and I still haven't even READ MP. This is what happens when you rewatch/reread the same four series over and over...)

But I will be visiting you soon, and that will make it all better, where "it" = everything ever in the world.
