I promised the other day that I'd post some pictures of Dan. One isn't really a very good one and one is a good one, but you can't seem him that well. So I'm posting both. I've also got a couple of more surprises behind the cut. :)

Cute photos! I don't think Micky D's has put an ice sculpture in front of it in a LONG time.

Oh no! That's too bad really. Do they still have businesses doing them or is it all in one place again. I think the first year we were there, maybe a couple of years, it was all in one place with a business sponsor. Later they had them all over town in front of the business, which was probably not a bad idea as it enticed you to go in.

Either way it was just amazing to see the work that the sculptors did. Some were SO very detailed and interesting.

They still put them up in front of businesses. My favorite last winter was in front of day spa - it was a polar bear giving a massage to another bear laying on a table. So cute!

And the gas stations will put them up - usually a bear holding a sign that says GET GAS HERE! LOL

And a dentist with a high profile office on the Steese always puts a huge angel in the yard with children around her. That one is the prettiest around town. There are several more throughout Fairbanks, and they are a pleasant surprise to stumble upon.

Isn't it amazing how genes work sometimes? They look like me in the same way that my half-sister and I look like our father, who in turn looked like his father. Those are some strong genes!

They did have big grins. Heather was six and what was cute about her was her jagged front teeth. ;)
