Okay, I can't spell. But I got sparkling fic! Yay! ...yay?
When the call came from Cybertron, no one was expecting it. Why would they? As far as they knew, there was no-one left on Cybertron who would call. The femmes wouldn't call the Decepticons, and Shockwave was on Earth now, cared for by Seekers and Soundwave and even those slagging Autobots. Megatron couldn't even make himself feel betrayed by that... his army had fuel in plenty now, and stores that could be sent back home, if the spacebridge could be turned on. And then they got the call.
Answering automatically, Megatron froze, not even hearing the mewl that came from Thundercracker. "Shock- wave? But..."
"I request a meeting, Lord Megatron. Open the spacebridge on your end and I shall come there," the guardian answered, as though he were not breaking reality by being adult, or by voluntarily leaving his post on Cybertron.
"We'll be there," Thundercracker answered, a moment late. Megatron still hadn't moved, and the Seeker almost felt sorry for him. After all, after vorns of seemingly absolute control over his army, everything was falling apart and it was becoming painfully clear how little control Megatron ever had. "Sir," he said, touching the silver mech gently. "I suggest you call Optimus and let him know that Shockwave will be here soon."
Megatron looked at him with a rather confused expression, though it faded almost immediately. For the sake of all involved, Thundercracker pretended he hadn't seen it. "Call Optimus...? Yes... Yes! And we shall meet by the spacebridge in three breems!"
"Yes sir," Thundercracker agreed, leaving to go pass the news along to his mates. It would take a while to get all the sparklings and visiting Autobots ready to go anyway.
Tiny bit is tiny...
