I don't have any kids and I'm pissed off about this. Those of you

Err, why?

I never hit my children with a belt, but I certainly had it done to me. And so did my husband did as well. (And don't even get me started on yardsticks, switches, and the like.)

I did and still do believe in spanking (which is, in my terms, a hit with the open hand on the buttocks that is not hard enough to bruise but is hard enough for the child to feel it), particularly for deliberate misbehavior or behavior that was dangerous.
