Very true, and one of the things that draws the fic-writer in me to it, I think--that's such a nice contrast to play with. A bit like HP, come to think of it. Thanks for reading! M.

And such a fabulous Mrs. Hudson:
Not having talked at length with John's mother, she knew less about her second tenant. Was he Sherlock's supplier?
I am in love with her. And Holmes' mother as Moriarty!

Exactly! Bloomin heck.
Although I didn't get it with the red t-shirt/jeans comments in the fic - Sherlock is always in a tailored suit in this latest series. Never out of it.
I love Mrs Hudson's obsession with Holmes' drug use (or even worse, his computer games! which might make him forget his stove or baby!) when according to episode one, she's been the one taking his 'herbal remedies' for her hip all this time. I wonder what she thinks she's been ingesting. Or perhaps it's a double bluff. She might even be M for all we know...

No, no, that's just something her nephew Andy brings by on the weekends, to help with her aches and pains. He's got a friend who knows about natural remedies, you see.

Ah, the tailored suits and porcelain skin are Watson's invention. Heh. Thanks for reading! Maggie

If the BBC series was filmed from Mrs Hudson's side, they'd both probably look like spotty teenagers lounging around all day in jeans and t shirts. And hence the spot cream for Sherlock. :)
