Hey, schemingreader! I was thinking about you as I wrote this; your story last night reminded me that I can like Harry. (The story was great, by the way. "Pornopticon" made me laugh out loud. I will go and write a proper comment soon.)

And, yes, Hermione's right: books help! JKR doesn't give her enough credit. It's the ultimate insider's attitude, really, that you don't need a book.

Thanks for reading! Maggie

Something about your Harry just makes me *smile.* I really was thinking about him as I wrote this. Hm...making this fanfic of fanfic? *smile*

And, truthfully, I don't see Molly (or many of the other characters) being nearly so accepting, but Harry will have a great time in Manchester, anyway, especially when he finds Snape. You bounce back at that age.

M.

This is lovely! But I can’t resist saying that it must be up to the reader to decide whether this is fluff or not. In my favourite part I can recognize my Remus:

“Yes, there’s a story to tell. But it’s waited so many years already we may as well eat first.”

And that’s not the only detail that makes quite enough of sense. Yes, I love stories about identity, not about sex.

Ah, Remus is of a different generation, isn't he? *smile* I think we agree on this one. Thank you so much for reading and commenting! I was so happy to see your post. Maggie

Oh, fabulous thoughtful comment, thank you. About the details and settings, I'm so glad to hear that it comes off looking effortless and natural. *blushes* I'm always trying to say as little as I possibly can, and sometimes I worry that I'm not putting in enough. (Or worse, when I decide that I need to put in more, I put in too much.)

Thanks for the detailed and perceptive review of this little piece! Maggie

=D Oh, you rule for doing this! Especially the last line, which owns all. Hee.

I think my favourite bit was Neville ~squishes him~ although I did love Remus' hints as well, yay! You write all of them so well, which is delightful.

And a lot it is so funny, as well - Hermione, Luna & Tonks in particular.

I do believe I've had most of these conversations and reactions - you did a fantastic job with the dialogue, it all rang really true - and I think I love you for commemorating those protests.

Thanks so much, sweetie! I'm glad parts came across as funny; you know me, everything's always a little too grim.

I do believe I've had most of these conversations and reactions

Yay! I'd hoped a couple would be recognizable.

Love the icon, by the way! Thanks for reading. Maggie

Hee! I loved every section of this...and everyone seemed so in character! Luna was definitely my favorite. ^__^

Thank you! About Luna: me, too. *sheepish smile* She took over, a bit. Maggie

I love this. And like schemingreader I adore that it's about identity not sex. So yes, lovely. Now I want to go back and do the Pansy/Hermione both discovering they're queer fic.

Also books really do have the answers. I'd never have sorted it all out with as little mess as I ultimately did, without books. Key to everything in those pages.

And I too have had several of those conversations. Well, not the ones with Remus or Molly, but the ones with my peers anyway.

Thanks, liseuse! And books really do have a lot of the answers. Especially at the beginning. I'm with Herminone on this one, all the way.

And you've had these conversations, too? I think so many of us have. They're actually much more funny on touching on the page. *wry smile* Maggie

Books and the internet. A young persons best friend. But mostly the books. Thank someone for public library systems I say.

And yep, I've had those questions. I'm still putting off the rl version of Remus and Molly though, so Harry wins on the bravery front! And yes, so much more funny and touching on the page. In real life, hideous and horrible.

In real life, hideous and horrible. So true, hm? *sigh* That's the other reason why books and internet are a young person's best friend. A guarantee of *no embarassment* for an hour or two. Maggie
