Latin is wonderful to learn, because you don't spend the first two weeks learning colors and numbers and days of the week.

But with Latin you have to learn verb conjugations in all the different tenses, and stuff like that, and it's not really spoken anywhere today so you can never be sure if you're saying the words correctly. Though on the bright side, if you learn Latin, it makes learning the rest of the romance languages easier.
