Awesome start! I can't wait to read the rest. You did an excellent job of showing the different responses to homelessness through Percy and Miss Benedict. I could really relate to that as I have several friends who have been homeless. I loved the scene with the little girl, especially the detail that Percy isn't left alone with his nieces and nephews.
