I have a good question! At least, I think it's a fair good one. No right answer, and all.

Why do you always think of witty things to say after the time you want to say them is past?

question times, happy!daine, seeking human friends

That's never happened to me.

Because you get flustered and forget what you want say until the time has passed and you're able to think more clearly?

That's probably why. I don't really know. It's fair frustrating to not have anything to say when people are pestering you. But as soon as they walk away, you know what you wanted to say in the first place.

That's near as confusing as cats or dogs.

That's why I just smile and start being flippant at people that are pestering me. It throws them off and allows for time to regain some composure in order to form a witty comeback.

That's a good idea! You'll have to teach me how to do that sometime.

I think we say the right things sometimes, but focus on the times we don't because we get frustrated by them...

That's true. I should think of all the times I've said the right thing, instead.

ooc: Do they know each other's names? |D

It can be hard to think like that, sometimes.

ooc: I would think so? idk XD

I'll have to get better at it! It'll take patience, though. Ma always says I have no knack for patience.

ooc: I suppose...since she's head girl, and all. She's supposed to know everyone's name. |D

There's actually a term for that! It's...some French word. My Mom mentioned it once but I can't remember what it's called.

I'll have to look it up, then. Your Ma must be very smart, to know the exact term for it.

My Mom's a writer! She knows all kinds of weird things...

Sometimes it's nice to know strange things, though. It must be nice for your Ma to write all sorts of stories.

Probably because we dwell on what we should have said... then we calm down enough to actually think of it.

Hmmm. Good point.

If I could keep my temper, I'd probably think of all sorts of witty things right then and there.

Unfortunately it's hard to keep your temper while fighting...

Yes, it is. Especially when I can't count to ten and cool myself down anymore.
