I used to have that thing about ordering pizza and whatnot, too. I still get cold feet when it coems to speaking to "professionals," which might be why it always takes me so long to find a job. Here's hoping it clears up for both of us.
I am now one of those "professionals" and have to make (and receive) a fair number of professional phone calls (which still freak me out a little, but I've come to terms with it). But ordering pizza!? If you don't count R-Card pizza, I think I've only done that twice in my life: once was ordered online (I cheated) and the other was after a hurricane when I had no power at home, no car, so I stayed late at work and ordered a pizza (I was desperate!).
It was actually kind of funny, about a week and a half ago I was in Pennsylvania on a business trip. I had no problem being professional all week long in the client's office, but one night my coworker/boss who I was on the trip with, suggested that we order pizza (separately) instead of going out to eat together. Yah, I went without dinner that night...
But then again I've always been slightly more phone-phobic than most people.
