I was going to call you on it, but you said it yourself. Changing who you are is a misrepresentation of yourself. But regardless, it's irrelevant to employment.
Something you need to come to terms with though is how your mother views you. She will always call you her daughter and use feminine pronouns. You need to accept that. But you MIGHT, one day, be able to come to a middle ground on the appearance thing. I doubt she will ever understand the concept of gender versus sex. But maybe if you tried to explain to her that sex is what you are physically assigned, while gender is what you are emotionally and mentally assigned. Sex is what you are, gender is how you feel. It might help, it might not. But it's something.
