I don't care if Kibum isn't in SJ anymore - okay, that's a total lie. I love him. I will be heartbroken if he's no longer around when I watch SJ things or get to see him interact with the other members.

But I think I miss this smile more than I want him to stick around for my own selfish fangirl desires. :(

I will be heartbroken and write depressing Kihae fics, but I just want him to be happy again.

Honestly, whether or not he's in SuJu at this point--well, not gonna say it doesn't matter to be, but that's just...not the point. I will be sad if he goes, but I totally agree with you in that I'm more concerned about him being happy with whatever it is he's doing.

What irks me is that SM is yanking everyone's chain on this. Blunt honesty moment--I don't believe he's injured, and it irks me that they hype up his being there and then "oops, whoops, no, sorry, leg injury." Really it bothers me because it just seems so unbelievable, and when we've seen SM artists that are ACTUALLY injured (some of them even still performing! Not that I suggest he do so,) it seems kind of wrong to use that as an excuse.

Oh yeah. Totally agree with you on not being fond of SM's publicity practices. But, ugh, I guess don't expect better of them? This is just so typical...:/

lakjd I agree with pretty much everything you've said--just, my issue isn't with the idea that he'll be leaving, or really with Kibum at it, but more...poor PR, I suppose?

they probably held back telling us on his injury to see if he could make it to super show (it was like, ten days between the announcement and the actual injury?)

That is a good point, and one I did not consider!

Hey, positive is good! I think I need to not make LJ posts in the morning because they are generally cranky (especially after I've just been woken up--I hope your mother is nothing like mine because while I love her I wouldn't wish her on anyone.)

Loff is always appreciated! ♥

As for the last part: askfda what, seriously, thank you--but I'm good! I have a good deal of money I'm supposed to be getting back from my uni (should have gotten it yesterday, actually, and it's not here today either) and I'm frustrated because bills are do and the money just--isn't there for all of them. And I HATE being late on these things, especially for something that (I don ( ... )

i read your comment and i gotta agree -- yeah the PR sucks. let's not get into the SNSD cover kerfluffle!!!

seriously i respect your opinions on this matter, so i hope it's not me being a know-it-all. mostly because you are not wailing and gnashing your teeth like i've seen people do today on sj-world. D: D: D:

lol oh if i updated my LJ more, every day i am cranky. i am a cranky person by nature. :D *snaps crab claws* don't feel bad!!!

and yes ♥ my offer still stands! i love showering dolly love on people. :D :D :D

meanwhile LOL COLLEGE >:( LOL >:( i so hear you, i'm trying desperately to get my college to recognize me as 1) a state resident (lol saving 3,000 dollars a semester) and 2) recognize the fact I put PART TIME STUDENT on my finanical aid form. they have awards for me!!! isn't that nice?! well RE-EVALUATE ME DANG IT

let me know if you need a bit of a nudge on bills. i got some goodwill last month and i'll have a little to spare after this paycheck. :3

I saw this right before I ran off to shower but didn't get a second to reply and seriously, thank you, you are awesome for even offering. But apparently the snafu has worked itself out and I am not broke anymore! \o/! I have never been so excited in my life to pay bills, lol.

Man, I TOTALLY don't believe this is some weird farce and he's leaving. D: Did you ever hear the story about when some fans stalked him to Chunja's set and asked him OMG ARE YOU LEAVING and he said something like "if you believe that of me, you don't know me at all"?

magicmelodyx June 24 2009, 13:28:37 UTC
I...had not heard that story! See, it's things like that that make me love him--I just have much disdain for SM's PR tactics.

He was super pissed, apparently! Anyway, I do believe this story, frankly. A LOT of members have sat out activities because of serious injuries -- the general lack of people in Pin Up Boys, and Heechul missed a LOT of stuff when he shattered his leg. It just says to me that this is an injury that's involving some actual bone breakage instead of torn ligaments or bad sprains or something similar. And the wording of the article is, apparently, "won't be able to participate in the opening concert" -- Super Show goes on for months and months. He'll be better eventually. :D

...huh. See, not participating in the concert opening is significantly different than not participating at all. Reading comprehension, I need to get me some. orz

Now I find myself worried as to how bad this injury actually is, seeing as it's, you know, Korea, where everyone ends up getting injured all the time. *facepalm*

LOL I'm not even a SuJu fan, but as soon as I read that post about Kibum's leg injury on omona, I was like "right, right. Nice try, SM." XD

Ooooh, it always intrigues me when people talk about using kpop as a topic for thesis/other academic study. It sounds like there would be SO much good material there, as well as it just being....you know, a really fun topic. :D Is this a work in progress right now? :o

Poor PR skills are poor, yo.

I would love to do my thesis on kpop, but sadly my uni has a dearth of Asian Studies related professors, and as such there's really no one who's willing to be my adviser on such a topic. T_T The honors counselor is like "That's a great idea! But...there's no one who could work with you on it." *sigh*
