Okay, a bit off the beaten path...

If you have old dead hard drives laying around that you want to get rid of, I can use them for parts for some of my nifty experiments.

Ditto with old printers & fax machines.

Again with the Jeune Lune. They have many dead machines lying about. They are open 10-3, Mon-Thur. Obviously, not on holidays. I will be over there Monday and can show you where to get stuff.

That would be awesome. Should I call you or just stop by?

I would if I could. I could probably spring for shipping in a few months though.

Indeed yes. DO you just want the toner and memory, or do you want the whole printer in case there are other issues with yours?

That's kind of the point. I'm planning to cannibalize what's left for electromechanical parts; I can keep out the circuit boards because I'd otherwise recycle them, but I can hold off until after you do a system check.

I'll pull the toner cartridge and memory later today. And I probably have some extra trays (I think I have a legal size tray).

Do the drives need to be intact? I kinda sorta took one apart just for shits & giggles.

Nope, I'm taking them apart and using the innards.
