this is such an amazing story. I've been meaning to tell you that when I saw that last chapter come in last week, and that it was complete, it totally made my day! :)

I really love stories that challenge Sam and allow her strength to show through. She goes through so, *so* much in this story, and yet ultimately manages to stay seriously badass :) Yet you manage to show her as a very real character, with a lot of vulnerabilities, as a lovely balance to her strength. Well done!

Thank you! This thing was like the monster that just would not die. Seriously, it started as one scene in my head (I think the one at the beginning of part 3). Then I said, well, how did she get there? Then what happens when they get her back? And it just kept getting bigger and bigger and ...

By the time I was writing that last chapter (and you may have noticed how long that took), I was in a totally different headspace than when I started the whole thing. So it is wonderful to hear that it all came together and I managed to do justice by her character.
