The Dangers of Being Curious

Title: The Dangers of Being Curious
Pairing: Rimmer/Lister
Rating: R
Warnings: Non-graphic Dub-con
Spoilers: Back in the Red
Notes: This fic works on the assumption that the sexual magnetism virus just amplifies any attraction that's already there. Which makes it slightly less disturbing, I suppose.
Disclaimer: Don't own it etc etc

This is really good. I've been pondering a much more lighthearted fic idea using the sexual magnetism virus, but I really love what you've done here and the way it all plays out. I love Lister's whole thought process here, it seemed really likely somehow, the way that he just can't leave it alone, he pokes at the idea until he finds himself following through on it. It's very him. And Rimmer's reaction - it's hurty but it rang so true. He would feel betrayed and used and dirty and embarrassed to the point that he'd just want to forget about it. That's what Rimmer does, he tries to brush things under the carpet, tries to delude himself into thinking that everything's actually okay. Lister's reaction too, that gnawing guilt, that all felt very real too. Excellent job on a subject matter that I think can be kind of tricky to get right.

Wow, thankyou! That was a really nice comment *blushes madly*

I was actually trying to write a light hearted sexual magnetism fic, but this came out instead...I worry about my brain sometimes.

Anyway, glad you liked, and I hope you write that fic.

I love how you have written a fic which is kinda pwp, without it really being graphic at all

It's a new genre: Porn Without Plot Without Porn! :D

I'm glad you liked it, especially with it not being your fandom. Thanks for the comment!

Don't worry, I don't have a Red Dwarf icon either, just Beaker. I'm horribly lazy when it comes to icons!

Porn without plot without porn. I like it.

I really liked how you wrote this. I'm not the world's biggest dub-con fan, but you convinced me here. Heartbreaking stuff.
