[Sitting on one of the comfortable couches of the Hufflepuff common room is a blond, petite-looking girl, her eyes fixed on a thick book upon her lap as she flips through the pages, the wand in her hand tapping rhythmically against her cheek. There is a slight frown on her face as she purses her lips, as if deep in thoughts and trying to understand

[A relieved expression passes over her as Liechtenstein smiles at a familiar face.]

When he reaches the common room, he glances around for her, clutching the Potions text as though he thinks they're going to start the study group immediately. He hesitates before crossing the room and introducing himself in a nervous rush.]
Hi, I'm Tavros. I saw your video about Potions, and I'm not really sure about what I'm doing. So I thought it might be better to not know what I'm doing with someone else than to not know what I'm doing alone, if that's a thing that sounds okay to you.

She blinks once, letting his word settle in before she smiles, chuckling good humouredly as she gestures for Tavros to take a seat and join her.]
Hallo Tavros, have a seat. That makes two of us scratching our heads over Potions. You are new here too, ja?

He takes a seat and nods, still holding his potions text like a lucky charm.]
Yeah. I'm not from here. Which you probably guessed, given how I look. Unless, maybe some magical humans look different from normal humans? I'm not very knowledgeable about them, as a general rule. Uh, any humans, magical or not.

It's a given that whoever was brought to Hogwarts seem 'special' one way or the other, even if they're mortals.]
I can't be sure about the other humans. It's hard to tell the difference. [She chuckles softly. Case in point, herself. Who would really believe that she's a Nation in human-form.] Have you been able to grasp anything in class?

[This Hufflepuff girl however, reminds him of someone from home...] What do you not understand?

She glances up at her commuter when she hears a voice, smiling as she gives a nod in greeting.]
Well, we were taught to do a Shrinking Potion. But I can't seem to get the colour right. It's supposed to be 'bright acid green', according to the professor.

It says here that too many ...rat spleens or leech juice will turn it orange. [It's obvious he doesn't sounds to enthusiastic with the ingredients mentioned.]

You're quite right. Though I don't think I've added too much of either ingredients. Maybe it's the timing of the process. [She shares his thoughts on that matter, replying in a somewhat distracted manner. Then she takes in a deep breath and sighs in one big huff.]
I'll have to try it again until it works then.

[Neither Akito or Agito realized that they were supposed to go to classes today, though they figure since they just arrived that morning that it should be fine to skip a day. They've been staying in an empty dorm for the majority of the day, reading their books and practicing spells.]
Isn't potions just like chemistry or cooking? [It seemed very straightforward to him. He didn't go to the class though, so maybe it's trickier than it seems.] I thought you just had to follow the directions and that was it.

Ja, I am. You too?
[It trills her that there's someone else in the same House as her too, and she hopes to meet him/her. It's a bit hard to tell the gender from the voice.]
A little like that, but it doesn't seem as easy as chemistry. Or cooking. [Liechtenstein sighs softly.] I have all the ingredients and measurements right, but I might haven't gotten somewhere wrong.

From what I've read so far, the preparation of the ingredients is also really important, and the timing when you add them in, as well as the temperature. If one of those is off it might be messing up your potion.

Is that so? Then I gather that it's a matter of trial-and-errors. [A lot of trial-and-errors.] I could probably try and treat it as if I was cooking it, that might make the process easier.

Potions seems to be like cooking-- if you can follow the directions properly, and add a bit of your own intuition, they turn out alright.

[There's a pause as she considers it, nodding.] That's what I've been told by a few students here. Their advices have been quite useful. Hopefully I don't get it wrong too often.

I'm sure you won't. Which potion in particular were you having problems with?

The Shrinking Potion, actually. I have all the ingredients and measurement right, but I can't seem to get the right colour at the end process.
