[ The video activates with a bit of a jostle, turning on to give a view of gold eyes before it pulls away and settles on a nearby surface. Now, Ed is fully visible as he goes about braiding his hair. ]

So, uh, 'pparently I had quite a nap.

[ A light snort and Ed reaches over to grab his wand. Giving it a flick, his hair continues braiding itself

Other than people receiving gifts from home, nothing much. Speaking of which...

[Another sigh, this time she's calmer than a few minutes ago.]

Oh, right! I forgot to tell you there were Quidditch try-outs last month. I actually made it as a Chaser.

Al mentioned something 'bout it. Played on broomsticks right? I'll watch but I think I'll keep my feet planted firmly on the ground, thanks.

[ Gives his fingers a wave. ]

Kinda hard to keep balance up there anyway. Congrats, though.

Right. I've practiced with him before when he tried out as a Beater. You should've seen how he hit that bludger.

[Digging into her robes, she pulls out a small, square-shaped present wrapped in red paper.]

This is for you.

[ Hesitating for a second, he doesn't reach out immediately. But when he does, his gaze flickers from between her eyes and the package. To say he wasn't expecting a gift from her would be obvious, given the look on his features. After all, Christmas is still a fairly new concept to him. In his world, it wasn't celebrated. A relic of a religion that died out many years ago. But in Munich, he'd experienced it for the first time, Alfons insisting they celebrate Christmas, even though it was just the two of them.

So getting presents from others... It's a bit strange for him. He takes the gift anyway, gloved fingers slowly pulling apart the paper.

Red. He approves. ]

Just open it and you'll see.

[Once Ed does, it'll be a small box of assorted paper, some of them actually change colors when touched.]

[transmutates]

[ Doing as he's told, he quickly makes work of the packaging, revealing the color-changing paper inside. Looking down at it, he watches the different colors shift and change before a broad smile forms on his lips and he looks back up at her. ]

Wow, this is awesome! A charm merged with a bit of color altering transfiguration?

Pretty much. I figured you might have some fun with it.

[Ed looks happy with his gift, at least, so she gives him a small smile.]
