Probably because he was too lazy, but he'll tell you it's because he hasn't had anything important to say. Now, apparently, he has something important to say. ]

[Minato is still getting used to this place, and for the most part, aside from brief exploring, he's been staying in the common room, as he reads the introductory text books and starts to practice simple spells. It's perhaps not the best place for studying, because people - like Hong Kong - keep talking, but for the most part Minato tunes it out, except that certain words catch his attention. Like Quidditch, which he's now read a little bit about.

So he looks up from his books from a few seats away.]

... I'd like to, if I get the chance to learn how to fly, first.

Do you play any sports at home? [ Just curious. Well, he's curious about a lot of things. ]

[a nod] I did. Mostly kendo, though I used to run track at an old school. [And then there was fighting monsters while climbing an ever-changing tower, but he was fairly sure that didn't count as a sport, even if sometimes he and his teammates would jokingly keep scores. Not that he had any intention of mentioning this.]

Well, I guess you don't do much running in Quidditch, but I'm sure those'll help, y'know? [ That probably counts for practical experience. ]
