4th Case Quill; Action for third floor hallway[Backdated to the Dementor Attack]

[The following appears in shaking hurried writing.]

Has anyone discovered any methods that work apart from that so-called spell?  I am running out of ideas.

[ Gokudera's handwriting is a lot messier than usual, and actually gives the impression that he can't see what he's writing. ]

Hide and hope they don't find you.

Hiding will only work for so long.

I've had to move a few times but it's better than feeling like shit.

And if you make a wrong move and get cornered?

[The handwriting that appears is neat and precise with a slight slant to it.]

Where are you?

Third floor. East end of the hallway.

[You know, it really doesn't take anytime at all to get from floor to floor when you hop from staircase to stair case. He makes it from the seventh floor to the third floor in record time and takes off for the east direction. No stage magic today. Today it's time for the real thing.]

[Kaito doesn't even give the sinister creature time to register his presence before quickly gathering a strong, happy thought and shouting with much conviction-]

Expecto Patronum!

[Immediately, a string of silver shoots from the tip of his wand and two silver doves materialized right after- zooming after the thing and driving it back.]

[Almost immediately after that a somewhat pale Conan steps out of the shadows behind a nearby statue.]

Without a modicum of poise in your Patronus, non-corporeal or otherwise, fighting back is a simple exercise in futility.

Are you familiar with the DisIllusionment Charm?

I refuse to rely on something as unreliable as this so-called magic.

[And the eyes rollllll] I believe it's a more reliable form of discourse than being kissed by a death-eater.

I tried it already. It's completely useless. Like I knew it would be.

[You....]

Use the spell, you stupid boy!

That isn't an option.

[She sounds about ready to rip his head off. Then again, she's not reacting too well to the Dementor's influence either and Conan really is such a wonderful thing to vent at.]

[And there's a scornful laugh.] And they keep saying you're the biggest threat? Surely someone as narrow minded as you could never manage!

Aren't you supposed to be a detective?! Examine all the evidence, make no assumptions, let the facts tell it?

And yet you're so ignorant to outright ignore evidence just because it could prove your view of the world wrong. To the point you could suffer a fate worse than death! But no, you could never even given a seemingly impossible conclusion a chance, even when it's right in front of your face.

Perhaps I was wrong. Maybe you really are just a stupid child.

Of course I can't accept something like magic easily! Saying that the reason for something for magic is like saying that it is something that can't be explained! That there is some strange ability that we have all been inflicted with, that I have reluctantly accepted.

But I won't trust any ability like this until I can understand how and why it works. I am saying that that spell we were told to use is useless for me because I already tested it.

[And he had, as soon as he had eliminated all the other possibilities dealing with these creatures. He had tested the spell according to the scientific method.]

[Conan hates you all. He'd tried the spells already and couldn't get them to work in the least.]

That is completely unhelpful.
