[If his hurried handwriting isn't a hint, formal introductions aren't on Red's mind for his first try with the commuter. For now his focus is far from the letter he's read hours ago, the wand he can't seem to discard, even the overwhelming cold he's felt since he's woken here.]
When can I expect lightning a thunderstorm?

Probably sometime after the snow melts.

I see. [He's guessing that means he'll be waiting for a while.]

Is there a generator of some sort here? Any electricity at all?

Afraid not- this place seems to run purely on magic.

[Since magic and electricity are apparently at odds, this is more of a difficulty than he imagined. But he hasn't given up yet.]

My books mention fire, water, and grass most, but what about a spell that creates a charge? Those can't be the only types, there are too many others.

[ Minako's eyebrows raise a little at this question. ]

Why would anyone want a thunderstorm? Most people are pretty scared of those, right?

[He has to pause and remember, much of what he's come to find useful is reckless in the eyes of many. His response is written a bit more legibly.]

They can be dangerous, but it's important that a friend of mine can find a way to recharge. A bolt or two might help.

[ there's a slight pause, then she starts scribbling again.. ]

Hey, you do know electric appliances don't count as real friends, right? Since they're not actually alive and real and all..

[Appli - ? Well, perhaps he shouldn't be so taken aback, but we're talking about one of his favorite types here!]

My friend is alive - it's a Pokémon. But he's not well.

He lost a lot of energy coming here.
