Calm down and focus, RP with Remy

Apr 25, 2009 20:22

Andy hurried in the direction of his hotel room right after hanging up with Remy. He was really starting to dislike this bloody city. It claimed to be grid-like but he had to pass numerous busy intersections just to get to a place where he could use right turns to get back. He, of course, got even more soaked and chilled to the bone in the process thanks to the steady downfall of cold, gloomy, rain that had been falling from the New York City sky since the night before. It was appropriate, he guessed, his soul was so uneasy that sunshine would have been absurd.

He was grateful for Remy's offer of assistance. He knew a fresh set of eyes and ears would help the situation. He knew he wasn't calm enough to truly focus and be productive. Andy trusted Remy; Remy could help. He would listen to Andy and maybe make a plan of action that made more sense than running through the borough and flashing Lauren's photo to everyone he passed. In Chinatown, that had been an especially bad idea.

Once inside the hotel, he kicked off his shoes and socks and peeled off his wet shirt. Without bothering to replace them, he sank into a chair and poured a big glass of wine from the mini fridge and tried to take a deep breath. This is where he was when Remy knocked on the door a few minutes later and Andy yelled for him to come in.
