Lily was a bit later than usual, hurrying into the Three Broomsticks at approximately twelve minutes to her meeting with Remus. She blamed the queues at the bookshop around the corner, which stretched to the back of the shop, surprising for Hogsmeade. She pushed her hair out of her face after entering the dim pub and clutched her packages to her chest, glancing about for Remus. He too, was someone prone to being early.
She was eager for this meeting. He'd seemed so done and hurt and lonely. It would be nice to try to make him smile.
Lily found him at his favourite booth, waiting for her. She smiled as she slid in, placing her packages neatly next to her. "Hello Remus," she said. "Having a good visit?"
