Every now and then, I speak up and say that swearing bothers me. I often say it's because when I was little I heard it a lot when people were angry. That's true. But here's more to the story ( Read more... )

This is very well said. I have only been a Christian for about a year, and I still stuggle with the bad language when I get mad. It's a VERY hard habit to break, and I've been honest with my family in how much I appreciate them calling me out when I say the wrong thing. I am MUCH better, but I still have a ways to go.

Work on what God has for you to work on. This might come down the road. I also know very well that this is hard to break. I've always avoided, indeed most swear words are words I've never said.

Thanks for your comment. It can be a big deal. If you sit on it and keep it suppressed, then it will grow into resentment.

very interesting. this has TRUTH like embedded into it. thanks for writing this (at the same time, part of me has to apologize for a word or two in my recent entries that are the first few introductions to me that you've gotten...).

Hahaha. I don't usually tag my entries. -less was a tag I used in fall 2008 at school when I didn't have my car, camera, or computer at school. photography and poetry are the other really really big tags. Other than that, I'm just lazy. I figure people will read them as I post them.
