this may be kind of blunt but in response to "coming back to reality, you know?"

no, i don't know. why would you let reality be any different than what you experienced this weekend? and why is daily life any different than what you experienced this weekend?

That's a really good way of thinking about it. I suppose what happens is what xxkaitlinxx3 said below. That we let ourselves lose whatever happened in things such as that.

I know what you mean by "coming back to reality." But at the same time, doesn't it seem more like slipping away from reality? My pastor once said, "revival starts in your heart." Sometimes when I get back from a retreat where God really moved, I realize the reason I "return to reality" is because I've let the influence of His spirit in me to slowly fade away.

1 Timothy 1:19

19 Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.

Keep clinging!

Thanks for this comment. It was encouraging.

I need to figure out what the second part of his writing means. I think I know, but I need to do a study on it. Thanks again.

I so know what you mean about coming back to reality. That's what happens to me when I go to camp or something. There's all this magic, and it seems like it has to disappear when camp's over.

I hate that feeling. I feel so lame because I don't have any advice on how to avoid that feeling. I'm just commenting to say I know how you feel.

I agree with heyservegod that it shouldn't be that way, but for many of us it is.

We need to hold fast. See xxkaitlinxx3's comment above.
