I have had this nagging feeling in the back of my head for a while. The need to scan my photos in from my last trip to Guadalajara--my dad's home city. So I finally did this last weekend. I uploaded them and as I went through the scans and cleaned up little bits here and there, so many of the memories we created that trip came to life once more. On

The first year Ben and I were together, we were so broke that my ATM rejected my attempt to purchase a crappy $10 Safeway Christmas tree. We went home and I was humiliated and devastated, and bawled my eyes out. Ben fixed me some tea, and I took everything off the coat tree and hung my lights decorations on it. Our roomates came home and helped, and we all had a great time. That is by far my favorite memory of my roomates and Christmas.
My family still laughs their asses off when we remember the time we went to Lake Tahoe, leaving my then 7 year old sister's suitcase in the driveway. The girl lived in a tube top and track shorts for a week. pathetic at the time, hysterical now.

The first one reminds me of when we lived on campus. I never let the hall go without a Christmas tree. One year I cut it out of butcher paper and had people tape their decorations on the tree. Another year I made it in the corner of the lounge out of toilet paper and xmas lights! How devastating that must have been though. Glad it turned into such a wonderful memory.
As for your little sister's suitcase... that is freakin' hilarious!

My favorite part of the flood fiasco was Ev's response to your response to the whole thing. Even when we got home and were telling your parents she just kept saying that it wasn't fair that when she laughed you were furious with her and then when I came out and laughed you just broke down laughing too. And boy was I glad that you did because I was really afraid that I was going to incur your wrath too--if I could have kept a straight face I would have!
Remember when we got lock INSIDE the apartment? Did we actually end up having to call a locksmith? I can't remember if we actually did, or just thought we were going to have to.

Yeah, about that fiasco, I had one split second to decide how I was going to react to this, and being mad at everyone did not seem to be the best way to go about it. I think that at this point you were so stressed out already that had I gotten mad at you too, you would have left on the next plane home. But Ev was really mad about that. lol
And YES! I still can't remember how we got locked INSIDE the apartment, just remember that we did. Didn't we look through their phone book for locksmiths for a while? I can't remember the end of the story. lol
