Hello people of Luceti!

...this is working, right? I've never seen a book that worked like a computer before.

[Ahem.] My name is Hoshikyo. And today is your lucky day! You see, I just so happen to be a magical girl. For those of you from worlds that don't know what that is, it basically means I'm a school girl turned super hero. I may not look it, ( Read more... )

!voice, hero complex is showing, !hoshikyo, now with more rainbows

[Traveling through worlds? Now there's a NEXT power Pao-lin wishes she had.]

Luceti has a cap on the powers of everyone who got taken here. Your powers might not work so well.

[Oh my God.]

[Oh my God.]

[Stay cool, Kari, stay cool. You had to figure something like this might happen if this place really is just a magnet for people from other worlds.]

[Whatever you do: don't fangirl at her.]

[...should probably be paying attention to what she's saying.]

Oh. A power cap. Yeah. I read about that.

So. Does that mean your powers aren't working here too?

They're only at half-strength. It's not like I need to use them here a lot, though.

Really? Is it safe here? No monsters or anything?

Pretty much! Well, okay, there are the weird experiments that go on here, but...powers usually don't help too much with those.

They don't help, huh. [Siiigh.]

Must get kind of boring then. With no people to save, I mean. Not that living in a dangerous place is better. But. Still.

I don't think it's boring here at all! [Pause.] Well, okay, I still miss the city. But I've made lots of new friends here from all sorts of interesting worlds, and I love using the Battle Dome to fight against all kinds of enemies in different environments! [She does mostly use it to see Sternbild again, though.]

The battle dome? [Oh, she read about that, but she didn't really think about the implications of it being here.]

...you can watch other people train there. Right?

Mmm-hmm! I like to do that, too. It's so interesting seeing what other people can do!

Does that mean I could watch you train sometime!?

[She sounds so ridiculously excited at this prospect. Seeing Dragon Kid live and in person was one thing, but getting to see her powers live and in person...!!]

[Whoah, this gal is certainly...enthusiastic. Pao-lin had definitely not expecting that.]

Well, yeah...you could...and I don't mind it or anything...but there are lots of other people here who are way better than I am. [She smiles.] Still, I'll be happy to show you what I can do! I'm Pao-lin, by the way.

Don't be so modest, Pao-lin! I bet no one looks as cute as you do when they're training in there. This place is probably loaded with generic male heroes, after all.

[HEY DON'T HATE Pao-lin is friends with a bunch of generic male heroes. :|a]

Wh-why would it matter if I was cute while training? [She is not cute, dammit.]

[Their muscles are all knobby and bulgy and the have hair like all over their face. Who wants to look at that??]

Why wouldn't it matter? Being cute is important!
