Someone just shot a fireball at the side of the office. The windows shattered and Biscuit was standing right next to one when it burst in. We have bandaged ( Read more... )

QL if you don't mind a sort of short/patchy one as Kiba is also heading on over? magical_bosom August 16 2011, 22:52:58 UTC
[When Bellflower arrives, there is still glass and papers all over the office floor. Amber is crouching beside a young woman who's been made as comfortable as possible, but has a number of deep gashes along the side of her face and her arms.]

Fine with me <3 Some establishing interaction is always nice. wayofflowers August 16 2011, 23:13:02 UTC
[Bellflower gives the unfamiliar woman a brief, polite smile.]

You are the one that asked for assistance?

Yes. Please call me Amber. This is Biscuit.

[The young woman looks up, but is obviously trying to hold herself together in the face of pain. Amber stands, making room for Bellflower.]

I assume you have a way of helping her here? I'm afraid I cannot go with you if she needs to be moved. Someone must keep order on this end.

Some sort of ruckus is obviously going on in the corridor, with shouting and the occasional snap-shick of a toy gun firing a flag.]

I am Bellflower. And I should be able to handle this here.

[She kneels down by Biscuit's side and gives her a reassuring smile]

This will be quick, don't worry.

[Curious now as well as concerned, Amber eyes the other woman. She's taken out no supplies but is preparing to help, and something about that is keenly familiar.

Biscuit, for her part, clearly doing her best to be brave, just nods from her prone position on the floor.]

[Bellflower spreads her hands, not quite touching Biscuit, and her eyes unfocus slightly as she draws on the energy within her. It's been getting easier and easier - she doesn't even have to close her eyes any more to do it - and a soft green glow baths the wounds, as the skin begins to knit up again]

[For a moment, Amber forgets her injured colleague. Something about Bellflower's actions--the miraculous speed and ease at which the wounds are closing, though incongruously she finds herself thinking the colour is wrong, as if that were important--tugs at her irresistibly.

When Bellflower is done, it takes her an eyeblink to come out of her own reverie.]

I... thank you, my lady.

[Biscuit is sitting up gingerly, examining her now-whole hands as the beginnings of an elated smile curve her mouth.]

[Bellflower stands, brushing the dust off her rather garish rainbow outfit.]

You are quite welcome, but I'm just doing my job. I'm glad I was able to help, though.

And if I may be quite so bold... how did you do that? I cannot help the feeling I've seen something very similar before.

It's a sort of magic people from my world have - I use it to heal, mostly, but it can be used to bind or to destroy, too.

[Something, something dances just out of her reach, and it is the most aggravating feeling imaginable that she should know what the other woman means.]

Magic. The moment is certainly far from opportune, but--lady Bellflower, was it?--might I speak with you about this later? I do not know just how, but I have the most insistent feeling it's very important.

[Bellflower inclines her head slightly with a smile]

I would be happy to speak with you on the matter when all this has calmed down

Indeed. Shall I write to you then, when we have our bearings again?

[She casts an anxious glance at the stairs and the racket that has not lessened much. Captain Kiba cannot arrive too soon.]

Of course - or if you wish, I'm at Wellspring working most days.

Did you need assistance with anything else here?

Quicklog magical_bosom August 21 2011, 20:05:53 UTC
[Amber nods gratefully.] I'll seek you there when I find the time.

Thank you for the offer, but now that Biscuit is all right, I should hope the rest are still unharmed. And it's best any discipline here is administered by Adventurer Captains.

[She doesn't quite cloak the displeasure at the shenanigans that seeps into her tone. Still, unruly behaviour is a matter best solved without outside influence, for all that this woman radiates an aura of quiet authority. She might do very well at the task, Amber has to admit.]

[A sentiment Bellflower fully understands.]

I'll let you take care of matters, then - but don't hesitate to ask for further assistance from Wellspring, should you need it.
