On Wednesday night we went to see The Princess and the Frog. I feared it would be full up as it was half term. Thankfully I was wrong. I hadn't seen a Disney 2D animation at the cinema for many years but I was so glad that it didn't disappoint. It's absolutely stunning on the big screen. Beautiful in a totally different way to Ponyo. There's so ( Read more... )

Haha, I've never been allowed in the Jorvik centre because James says it's too expensive. Also, I didn't want to queue up (and it's half term) only to be faced with a crappy faux roller coaster! Might just walk around, I never tire of doing that.

i think i went there when i was about five. it wasn't exactly thrilling then so i wouldn't bother unless they've updated in and made it super fantastically amazing...

They have done it up, it's now with added roller coaster! Well, it's more like a monorail I think. Each carriage tilts you towards the exhibit that the commentary is talking about!

Wow that dinner does sound amazing (the crab dish doesn't sound that odd to me) - not sure about ostrich though. Is it quite chewy?

Good luck with the job interview.

Hope you have a nice time in York tomorrow. I've entered a couple of competitions in our local rag to go on a steam train trip to York but didn't win. Would still like to go to York some day though.

I didn't watch the Brits, I'm not sure if I've ever watched it the whole way through. All I ever hear is how crap it is. I used to enjoy the Smash Hits Poll Winners Party years ago.

I've seen steam trains at York Station before now. It's definitely worth a visit, it's a lovely city.

As ostrich is a bird it's not-unlike other poultry except that it's a bit tougher. Half way between beeef and chicken I'd say except that it's white obviously.
