Hermione smiled and squeezed Fred's hand reassuringly. "You won't get burned up, love. The floo powder changed the flames, so they're not dangerous to us. You just step forward into them, and then we'll be in my room at Moonstar."
Looking back to the fireplace, she instructed her, "On three, we'll walk in together, all right? One...two...three."
She stepped forward, still holding Fred's hand, and within moments they were being pushed out into her room at the other end. Turning, she wrapped her arm around Fred and smiled at her. "See. Told you that you wouldn't burn up," she said. "You feeling okay, though? The first time can be a bit of a suprise."
As they stood there, a fluffy orange cat rubbed up against their legs, causing Hermione to look down. "Fred, I'd like to introduce you to Crookshanks."
