Would you ever betray anyone, even for a good cause? It depends on who I was betraying and what the cause was to be honest. If it were a life or death decision and I had to betray my best friend to save my father's life, I would do it. If it's something petty and pointless, I wouldn't.
Do the ends justify the means? Sometimes.
What is more important to you? Family, friends, promises made? Family and friends. Promises can be important, but it really depends on what the promise consists of. I get a little irked when that promise is broken, but I forget about it eventually. Family and friends will be with me for the rest of my life. Sure there is a possiblity that the friends I have no won't always be my friends throughout life, but I'll make new ones in the next few years. Family members are irreplaceable and they're so important to me. My family is who I depend on when things get rough. Sure, we don't always see eye to eye, but we're there for each other when we need it.
