How can I decide what's right?
When you're clouding up my mind
Can't win your losing fight all the time
Not gonna ever own what's mineThe house was still a shambles. A week in his new home, and there were still boxes to unpack, furniture to rearrange and incidentals to put away. With the exception of a few pieces, he’d left most of his furniture ( Read more... )

Standing outside the door, Belle knew better than to ring the doorbell. With a potentially sleeping babe at the house, the last thing she needed was to make noise. Closing her eyes, she did the one thing she knew would get Tommy's attention: hope like mad that he'd let her rearrange his new place. The mere prospect of decorating a new joint nearly had her salivating, and she knew that her giddiness would be something only he would pick up on. Opening her eyes, she couldn't help but laugh softly.

She'd give him five minutes. If not, *then* she'd call.

He'd just exited Mayilia's room when he felt the dove's wing brush against his being, a flare of energy that warmed him from within. Moodily, he almost wished that the bright ray of light hadn't intruded on his brooding, but in spite of himself he smiled as he moved through the house, heading for the front door. He knew there was a reason he'd left the front gate open...

Opening the door, he grinned as he found Belle on his front step. His own features were a little weary, his eyes shadowed, but otherwise he was the picture of health and power as he reached out to wrap her in a warm, welcoming hug.

"Babe, yer a sight for sore eyes." he chuckled quietly as he drew back. "Please, come in...excuse the, uh, lack of a mess? I sorta took a shortcut around the whole 'decorating' thing."

"I'm a sight for sore eyes? Have you looked in the mirror lately? The bags under your eyes are bigger than my purse!" Stepping inside, she couldn't help but smile. "Shortcut, eh? You do realize I'm the wrong person to tell that to? Nevermind that's the reason I showed up, since I *knew* you'd shortcut it!"

As she spoke, he could tell she was a bundle of energy at the mere prospect of having a place to play with.

"So, are you going to shoot down my hopes and dreams, or going to let me loose on your place?" Belle quipped, grinning at him as she rubbed her hands together excitedly.
