Roger read the morning notice in the Ravenclaw common room and snorted. Who had time for such things? Why didn't Filch do it himself? And besides, at 5'8" he was probably too tall anyway.
He skipped down to breakfast carrying his book bag and hoping to get a chance to speak with Ginny, either before or after in the Great Hall. Hogsmeade Saturday was almost here.
Ginny saw Roger enter the hall just shortly after she'd settled down to breakfast; she grabbed her things and made her way over to the Ravenclaw table, sitting down next to Roger.
"Ginny!" Roger was surprised and delighted. His goofy grin showed it.
"How are you today?" His heart raced. Her skin glowed. Her smile was radiant. He dared to touch her shoulder as she settled next to him. "It's good to see you. This week has been mad."
"I'm great! How are you?" Ginny leaned over and placed a quick peck on Roger's cheek. "Oh, I don't think this week has been so bad. Not for me, anyway! Just... loads of classwork. OWLs are tough, but not enough to keep me down!" She settled herself and started eating breakfast.
