How I imagine the boat trip (nicked from Oliver Jeffers 'Lost & Found')

Lulabelles frankly astonishing new fic, Pythia Dreaming, makes we wish I could draw, as the imagery in it is so amazing. Alas, stick men are my limit, but there's a picture in Oliver Jeffer's 'Lost and Found' which was what I saw in my head during the epic voyage from the owlery (only with a mouse, not a penguin)

I LOVE IT! That's about as close to the image in my head as you could get. I must get my hands on a copy of this book. Amazon, here I come!

Oh, and tomorrow morning when I update, do you mind if I link to this post on my LJ? Others might like that picture as well.

One last thing: Just read the post-match commentary two entries down. That is just darling, I grinned from beginning to end. Rare to see something so funny and perfect done in so few words and all dialogue! As a rather verbose person myself, I highly admire that kind of skill.

(case in point: this comment, lol)

Glad you like it - it's one of my favourite books! Feel free to link to it, I just google-imaged it. It just seemed to capture exactly how they must have been feeling! He's an amazing writer and illustrator, from Northern Ireland originally but based in Brooklyn now I believe. He's done quite a few kids picture books and I love his illustrations.

The post match was based on a comment I made on Hermione having an 'I carried a watermelon' in one of Alliean's fics, and she confessed to having told a guy she'd have to ask her cat when he asked her out.

Lucius Malfowl came about due to a gag about Severus' cock and Hermiones pussy...practically writes it's own punchline!

What a beautiful picture. So much atmosphere! And this is very close to what I imagined too.
