Why not keep it? You spent a good amount of time knitting it and it looks really soft and warm. I also like the colour.

It is a bit too small currently. It might wash up bigger though, so I'll decide after that.

Ok, all explained now. I would still keep it. Get the same colour frilly or lacy top (but longer than the hoodie) and wear it underneath sticking out. That would look cool. Is it too short on the arms or too tight across the shoulders etc, or just too short in length?

Not short anywhere, just a little too snug all round. It could be the pattern sizing, it could be the wearer (who needs to lose some weight again.) It does reach my hips so is not a "milk-warmer" hoodie - I'm not that fashionable. :P

The wool does apparently "let go" a bit when washed - my mom's jersey in a similar wool washed out to 4 sizes bigger than what she knitted it, so there is hope.

That sounds such fun. Scarves are easy to knit so you could probably watch your favourite TV show at the same time!

Scarves are great. I'm knitting a pair for my brother and his wife for Xmas.

The pattern has fully reversible cables in it, which are fun to knit. I've done here with a lace pattern between the cables. Will post pictures when there is enough to see of them.
