Pros Watch - A Stirring Of Dust

May 28, 2008 12:19

I tried to post this Monday and then there was a family crisis type thing that I had to try and sort out (not a chance, sadly!), then I tried to post this yesterday and there was an other-half job crisis type thing (oh dear, doesn't everything just happen at once? And how come my computer is the only one everyone can use??!) and now I think I have ( Read more... )

Love all the bits of information you always seem to find. About the actor playing Stadden, the real life Philby background, etc. And those lovely screencaps too. And Bodie flying over that bonnet in all his athletic glory - thank you so much for the frame by frame of that!

Ah thanks! This Pros watch was brought to you by Dave Matthews website, wikipedia and the colour green *g*

The real life Philby stuff is fascinating - involved
dead-letter boxes behind statues in Brompton Cemetary and all sorts! And I am glad you liked athletic Action Bodie - it was a bit of an experiement that strip, and now I think I've got the hang of it I might do a few more!

Oh, good! I was sadly thinking that we wouldn't get one of your commentaries this time around (darn real life, anyway). So, yay! Although...where's the wine? *g*

So much to love here, as always, but I so enjoyed all the little things you know, like about the actor playing Stadden. And, hey, I hadn't noticed that pat of Bodie's after O'Leary escapes. Heh. And, ooh, the photos are perfect. Thank you!

somehow London looks more like London back then
That's what EOS says, too. Of course, to me, that is London. Hmm. Actually, come to think of it, I was in London in...1979. Hey, cool. *g*

*grins happily at your feedback, as ever!*

Wine has been reinstated to its rightful place just to the right of my hand *g*

Oh good - a new pat for you to watch out for! Glad you like the pics as well. EOS is so right - I think so many things of how people imagine London are fast disappearing in the modern city - in fact, all the things that are *still* pictured on postcards - like the red telephone boxes, proper red buses, punks (!), policemen in pointy helmets - yet in the late 70's / early 80's these were all predominant. That is another reason to love Pro's - it gives me back again the London I grew up with *g*

Ooo but Doyle! All tied up… and look at that peach of a bottom!

Hmm. Is it any wonder Bodie got a bit carried away with the knife? Trying to concentrate on cutting a rope with a bird's eye view of that inches away from your face - big ask.

‘That’s Helen Pierce - she’s pretty shaken’ - hahaha.
Hee quite! I always wonder how they could tell, given that she shrieks and bawls her way through pretty much the entire ep!

Lovely commentary - v thought-provoking and informative on the Philby stuff, which is great. I'm having to resist the urge to think to hard about Cowley's angry wiggle, though.:O

Everytime I see that backside I just want to bite it *g* And I never thought of that before, Bodie just inches away... might have to re-watch that scene!

I wonder how many other statements Bodie could have made...

'That's Helen Pierce - she's coping well.'

'That's Helen Pierce - she'll be alright in a minute'.

'That's Helen Pierce - she's flippin' bonkers'.

Go on - give in to the urge! Cowley's angry wiggle, Cowley's angry wiggle...

Ah, I was wondering what kept you. Hope the family crisis wasn't too bad.

Always love your reviews - they're so down to the point and all those great screen caps. Looks like you got all the ones I missed *G*

Ah, thank you for the good thoughts. Sadly the majority of my family drive me nuts, to be honest! I try to keep my distance most of the time, and most of the time it works, thankfully, or I'd be as barmy as the rest of them!

Very glad you like the review! *g* I'm looking forward to going back to everyone's reviews tonight and catching up!
